Myth: GMAT measures my mathematical background that has nothing to do with business.

Fact:It measures your problem solving skills as well as your communication skills through a series of out-of-the-box questions and situations that require fast and confident responses.

Myth: GMAT is created just for money, but it's actually useless.

Fact: The GMAT assesses your readiness for business school, and business school prepares you to realize your career potential. In fact, according to MBA.com, 88 percent of corporate recruiters are projecting a need for outstanding business school graduates. By taking the GMAT exam you understand your strengths in the areas that matter to today’s corporate recruiters.

  • Myth: you never know what types of questions might be in the test

Fact: There are 4 known types of questions the you'll find in every GMAT:

Analytical Writing – measuring your ability to think critically and to communicate your ideas by writing an Analysis of an Argument

Integrated Reasoning – measuring your ability to evaluate information presented in multiple formats from multiple sources. This includes:

• Multi-Source Reasoning

• Table Analysis

• Graphics Interpretation

• Two-Part Analysis

Quantitative – measuring your ability to analyze data and draw conclusions using reasoning skills through :

• Data Sufficiency questions

• Problem Solving questions

Verbal – measuring your ability to read and understand written material, to evaluate arguments, and to correct written material to conform to standard written English.

There are 3 types of questions:

• Reading Comprehension

• Critical Reasoning

• Sentence Correction

Myth: GMAT isn't available all the time and not suitable for candidates with special needs.
