From Online to On-Campus: Tackling the Challenges of the Transition

The pandemic has caused a swift transition from learning in-class to online then to in-class which was a dramatic and overwhelming experience; especially for preschoolers and young learners who had started their journey of exploration for the first time!

How do the new birdies respond to this drastic change? How actively do they participate in the classroom activities? Do they comprehend well with their teacher’s instructions? How challenging the situation is for the teachers? How effectively the teachers are overcoming these circumstances?

This 2-day interactive workshop is designed to support kindergarten/primary teachers in developing effective teaching strategies to imply for the students who joined the school for the first time online during pandemic then shifted to on-site classes post pandemic.

We will discuss possible problems and suggest strategies, practical ideas and best practices for teachers to implement in their classrooms for a smoother transition.

Course Objectives:

The workshop will provide solutions and practical ideas to overcome the following challenges in 2 sessions:

Day 1:

  1. Hesitation in participation & socializing

  2. Lack of focus & lack of motivation to learn.

  3. Behavioral issues, such as tantrums and unwillingness to respond

  4. Understanding and following instructions

  5. Adapting with the transition to new environment.

Day 2:

  1. Teachers emotional challenges like being overwhelmed with the transition which may cause lack of passion and hence less interactivity.

  2. Quality of classroom management and rapport with students.

  3. Time Management.

  4. Controlling Teacher Talk Time (TTT).

  5. Implementing and adhering to lesson plans.

  • Location: Online via Zoom

  • Dates, 18-19 March, 2022 from 9:30 am-12:00 pm (GMT+3)

  • Duration: 2 days, 5 hours

  • Certificate of completion will be issued for FREE after attending BOTH Days.
