This course aims to support teachers who are new to online teaching in planning, teaching, assessing and reflecting upon their online classes while utilizing their in-class experience throughout the process.

Introduction to Planning Online Lessons:

  • Introduction to teaching theories and how to adapt them to fit in the online settings

  • Lesson planning for online lessons Vs. in class lessons

  • Selecting the right tech tool according to the stages of the lesson

Creating Engaging Online Classes:

  • An introduction to using zoom and Microsoft Teams for online classrooms

  • Engagement strategies for better online experience

  • Using Google Classroom for creating an online community and social presence for students

Promoting Motivation and Finding Reliable Resources Online:

  • Learn how to use different apps to promote students’ motivation online

  • How to use PowerPoint and google slides for interactive presentation

  • How to find reliable online resources to use in lessons

 

Assessment, Feedback and Reflection:

  • Design digital assessments

  • Provide effective feedback in online classes

  • Promote reflection for future development
